Family and Community are our Top Priority

Much as we value our personal family, at Abbey Farms you and your family are our main concern. Our mission is to help you create cherished memories. Whether you are having fun during Pumpkin Daze, roaming the tree fields to find that “perfect” Christmas tree, or watching your children grow alongside “your” apple tree, we invite you to make your family’s memories special at Abbey Farms.

How will you make your visit memorable?

Pumpkin Daze at Abbey Farms had its humble beginnings in 2008. Since then, the six-week event has grown into a must-do fall activity! Multitudes of children visit each year during school field trips. Community groups enjoy the attractions and then enjoy s’mores around their reserved fire pit. It is common to see of friends plan a fall outing together, perhaps challenging each other to race the pedal go-carts. Of course, families throughout Chicagoland plan a day to play! Visit our Pumpkin Daze page to learn more!

In a flash, Abbey Farms shifts gears into the Christmas season. Not only do we have hundreds of acres of pine, spruce and fir trees to cut, we also stock a large inventory of freshly cut Michigan trees. Fresh evergreen wreaths and roping are available for your decorating needs. Make certain to take time to visit the seasonal store, located in the Nagel Emporium. You’ll find a wide array of gift ideas, many of which are hand-crafted. Santa Claus makes certain he visits Abbey Farms on specific weekend times. Don’t forget to try delicious, homemade bakery and food items from our Pine Tree Café, too. Learn all about our bakery selection by visiting our Donuts & Bakery page.

In the spring of 2018, the Abbey Farms Apple Orchard will take root! We will plant the orchard west of Hart Road, with the goal to begin harvesting in in 2021. You can make memories by sponsoring your own tree! Learn more about our orchard plans and how you can help on the Apple Orchard page.

In the summer, besides hosting weddings, corporate outings and family events, we grow produce. Father Bede’s barn becomes our farmer’s market. You’ll find Abbey Farms grown tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, and much more. Don’t forget about sweet corn – our corn gets rave reviews every year! For store hours, visit our produce page.
